This bike was brand new with less than one mile showing. It was warmed up and readings were taken. With more break-in miles, the horsepower numbers will of course increase. Power comes on at 7000 rpm and continues to carry up to the soft limiter (well below the 16500 redline). The stock fuel curve was well within specs and a PC3 is not required. Additional gains may be had with the installation of a PC3 and proper map for optimum performance. As an additional note: though horsepower gains were fairly small, the difference in handling and radiant heat emitted is very significant. Being an under tail exhaust, the weight is located at the highest point and affects handling. The 10 pound weight savings is easily felt. Radiant heat is greatly reduced from the OEM unit, especially with the Carbon Fiber muffler. |
