HONDA CBR1000RR SLIP-ON

Fits 2008 - 12 models. This is a Slip-On system that replaces the huge OEM muffler, along with the exhaust servo valve. Features our new one piece flat conical billet end cap (differs from picture shown) that is CNC'd from solid 6061 material.  Our traditional Turn Down Exit Tip is available.  The muffler is a short GP length, with a large 2.5” core (optional 2.25” or 2.0” cores available). The standard core creates maximum flow with a deep low frequency exhaust tone and has been specifically designed to work with the stepped large diameter Area P mid-pipe. The lightweight stainless steel mid-pipe features smooth radius bends and three diameter changes to promote maximum flow and smooth power band. Great sound and large weight savings as well. Muffler body clamp is laser cut from 304 series stainless steel with extruded rubber insulators and offset ears for secure mounting. Stainless steel T-bolt clamps on mid-pipe and muffler inlet assure a tight, secure seal. Muffler is available in cool running 100% pure Carbon Fiber or lightweight 304 series Stainless Steel.

This bike had less than 1000 miles on it. It responded very well to the exhaust change. Power increase starts at 2500 rpm and carries all the way through the soft limiter. The peak increase of over 3 hp and 1.5 tq, actually shows how well the OEM muffler flows at maximum velocity. Huge horsepower and torque increase in the mid-range of almost 8 hp and 5 tq. Interesting to note that peak power is achieved at just over 11000 rpm, but there is very little drop off up to the soft limiter (13000 rpm). Excellent over-rev capability. The Area P Slip-On tested was with our large 2.5" core. The A/F curve was slightly lean in the low & mid range on our test bike.  The additional of a PC3 may further enhance power.
