KAWASAKI ZX6R SLIP ON

Shorty Slip-On - Fits 2009 - 2015 models. Large diameter 304 series stainless steel mid pipe exiting into a 9.0” muffler. This is a complete slip-on that removes the pre-muffler “boom box”. The short mid-pipe and “GP” type muffler mounting allows the passenger peg(s) to be removed (if desired). Choice of core sizes in 2.0”, 2.25” or large 2.50” diameters. This system comes standard with our new Flat Conical Billet End Cap (slightly different than pictures shown) that is cnc’d from solid 6061 aluminum, and large 2.50” core. A traditional Turn Down Exit Tip is also available. The polished muffler body clamps are laser cut from 304 series stainless steel with extruded rubber insulators. A Stainless steel T-Bolt clamp is utilized on the muffler inlet.

Megaphone Slip-On - Lightweight and easy to install.  This a a complete Slip-On that also removes the pre-muffler "boom box".  Comes with removable perforated core.  Please note: The Megaphone Slip-On emits an elevated exhaust tone, even with the core installed.

The sound is very similar to the ZX-10R, except than it revs much higher. The Slip-On was engineered to emit a very deep exhaust tone and is unique to the 2009 ZX-6R. Sound byte is with the Muffler Slip-On (not the Megaphone).

Chart shown is with the Carbon Fiber Muffler Slip-On and 2.5” core. The Megaphone Slip-On (open) produced an almost identical power band and increase. The power increase is essentially after 11800 rpm on one of the strongest 600's of 2009.  The OEM muffler and boom box actually flow very well. This particular bike was brand new out of the crate.  We warmed it up and put a 5 miles on it before dyno testing.  The base numbers were actually higher than the pre-production bike we tested previously.  Further break-in miles should result in more power.  It pulls very strong up to the soft limiter of 15250 rpm (actual) for almost 3.5hp increase. The ’09 model has the exhaust valve in the muffler and pre-muffler “boom box”. Both are removed with the Area P exhaust. The stock fuel curve was still within acceptable specs on this test bike (slightly lean at peak with the megaphone run open).  No changes were required. The addition of a PC3/V and proper map will further enhance performance.
